Allcan Electronic Distributors was established in June 1997. From that time onward, the company has continued to evolve from a general electronics distributor into a division of a larger corporate group (479645 Alberta Ltd.). Most recently this division served two primary markets: two-way radio dealers; and, wireless data systems integrators.
The creation of the Allcan DataGroup (“ADG”) is a result of a corporate restructuring. The distribution of products to support the two-way radio market remains under the Allcan banner. Distribution of wireless data products (radios, antennas, towers, cable etc.) is now being managed as a separate sales entity within the 479645 Alberta Ltd. corporate structure.
ADG distributes top of the line active components and infrastructure products of interest to systems integrators building point-to-multipoint radio systems, for the oil and gas sector, water, waste water utilities and irrigation systems, traffic control and wireless Internet service providers.
